About the Author

Christoph Schumacher is a serial entrepreneur and a Digital Marketing Pioneer from Switzerland, dedicated to help other entrepreneurs to get their business off the ground. He is a guest lecturer at University of Zurich in Digital Marketing.

He worked for companies like IBM, Sony, Warner Music, Abbott, World Trade Center Zurich, ETH Zurich, University of Zurich, University of Basel, Walder Wyss Attorneys at Law and many more.

For many years he had a significant aversion towards marketing – its greasy and sleazy attitude repelled him entirely. This changed with the rise of Online Marketing – and with its bias on authenticity and sincerity.

He focused his postgraduate professional education and certifications in Digital Marketing on different private companies, mainly in the US.

He studied Communication Sciences and Political Sciences at the University of Zurich, later on he graduated from a post diploma in type design at the Zurich University of the Arts

After studying he worked as a journalist and as a press photographer. Later he moved to the Corporate World and worked in Corporate Communication at Switzerland’s biggest university, where he created the University’s first Corporate Identity.

In the same time – while the stock markets had to deal with the Dot Com Crisis he started his Corporate Branding Agency, focused on building substantial brands.

With his wife he lives in Switzerland and Germany, and while she plays the first violin as a professional classical music concert master he tries to follow her on his violoncello.
